General Requirements on Content and Functionality

{primary} China's app policies are updated frequently, we suggest reviewing the App Policy Center before each release or update to get the latest policies and stay compliant.

Please be aware of the content and functionality issues that may lead to a prolonged app review process or even rejection. Before submitting your app for review, please confirm that:

Content-related Requirements (basic app information and in-app content)

  1. Your app information and app package are complete, accurate and consistent with the APK file.
  2. Your app content is compliant and doesn’t contain vulgar or offensive content, or cause damage to devices.
  3. Your app does not contain any link to Google Play.
  4. Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan are not displayed as countries (on the language/country selection page, user profile page, etc.).
  5. Your app name should not use one or more generic, common, or unrecognizable terms, or popular search terms that may mislead users during the app search process.
  6. Your app name cannot be the same as any other existing app name in order to avoid misleading users or infringing other apps' intellectual property rights.
  7. Your app must not include illegal money transactions, gambling, vulgar content, pornographic content, terrorism or other content prohibited by applicable laws and regulations, and does not incite any illegal activity.

Functionality-related Requirements

  1. Your app can be installed, started, and uninstalled properly.
  2. Your app does not crash or experience bugs while running.
  3. Your app complies with any and all applicable privacy laws and regulations and meets user expectations.
  4. Your app is available for use during the review period.
  5. Your apps work well and content displays well without Google Service Framework (GSF) and the Play Store.
  6. App push messages displayed on the notification panel can be closed normally.
  7. In-app advertisements are only displayed inside apps.
  8. Your app does not occupy the lock screen without user knowledge or authorization.
  9. Your app does not maliciously abuse or improperly use any network, system mechanism, system function, or system vulnerability, interfere with other apps, or affect device functions, which in turn may affect user operations and experience.
  10. Your app will not automatically update while under review.
